We work closely in partnership with local business owners, security Merseyside Police, local Councillors, Sefton Council on a number of initiatives to reduce petty crime, disorder and make Southport a safer place to do business and visit.
The BID works hard to attract investment into Southport – through applications for funding and through the introduction of an investment prospectus to help attract new businesses.
We work in close partnership with various agencies and bodies to ensure that everyone is working in the same, positive direction for Southport. We take your views, concerns and issues to those bodies and lobby for change or seek resolutions where possible.
The BID works to create new events to the Southport calendar and to help fund events that will increase footfall to the town centre and directly into the businesses themselves.
We work in partnership with the STBN and Visit Southport to create cohesive marketing campaigns, such as ‘Southport at Christmas’, and ensure the town centre and it’s businesses receive maximum coverage and support.
The BID aims to improve the appearance of Southport town centre and make it a more attractive place to visit, shop and invest. Over the last two years we have made a series of improvements to the appearance and environment, non of which would be possible without the money raised from BID levys.
One of the big advantages of Business Improvement Districts is their collective buying power. At Southport BID we’ve used this buying power to negotiate a range of money-saving benefits that could help to take away the stress and strain of running a business as well as improving your profitability.
We believe that the current range of business support services come close to matching the needs of most businesses. But if you think that we’ve missed something out or if you’re a supplier and believe you can offer BID levy payers a great deal then please get in contact.
Some of our services are free whilst others will incur a small charge (at below comparable market rates).
