Simon Quinn
Simon Quin – Co-Chair Institute of Place Management and Executive Director High Streets Task Force
Simon is the Professorial Fellow in Place Management Practice at Manchester Metropolitan University and a recognised international authority on urban place management. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the field, working as a consultant, researcher, place manager, advocate and industry leader. He co-founded the Institute of Place Management, supported the establishment of The BID Foundation, and is now Executive Director of the government-initiated High Streets Task Force.
Kevin Horton
Kevin Horton – Owner K2 Architects & Southport BID Board Director
Kevin qualified as an architect in 2001, within 5 years I had risen to the position of senior project architect for a large international firm where I was responsible for developing and delivering projects from £25-£85m in value.
His experiences have given him a sophisticated understanding of building design both technically and creatively, and this has been backed up by a number of awards including being part of the team that delivered the Stirling Prize short listed Liverpool ONE project.
Kevin’s challenge since late 2009 has been 2to build an architectural practice from the ground upwards. So far so good! In the last 3 years have delivered £43m of built work mainly focused on retail, education, leisure and master planning sectors.”

Ed Fletcher – Chief Executive Fletcher’s Solicitors
As Fletcher’s Solicitors has expanded, employee engagement and communication has remained at the heart of Ed’s vision as Chief Executive; this can be shown by Fletchers getting in ‘The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For’. Under Ed’s leadership Fletcher’s has tripled turnover and headcount to more than 430 people whilst always staying true to doing the right thing by both our People (Investors In People Gold Award) and our Customers. Ed has been shortlisted as Leader of the Year in The Guardian Business Showcase.
Ed attended the Oxford University Strategic Leadership Programme and has an MA in Developing Professional Practice from Lancaster University.
In addition to all that, Ed still finds time to be a husband and father, sit-skier and swimmer, at one time being a member of the Team GB Para Triathlon Squad.
In October 2018, Ed was shortlisted for the Law Society’s Legal Personality of the Year.
