Board of Directors
No Board Directors, including the Chairman, ever receive any form of payment for their time.
All of our Directors are nominated annually from within the local business and stakeholder community. They are selected to ensure balanced representation from sectors of our levy payers and for the individual skills they offer. The Board of Directors is duly elected by show of hands at our Annual General Meeting in October each year.

We are currently looking to recruit a new Chief Executive and Voluntary Director’s to lead them through their second five-year term, which begins this November. Having received a successful yes vote from the businesses within the town centre this June, Southport BID’s vision for their second term is to make a meaningful difference to the future of Southport.
All BID Directors are unpaid in their role and appplications are invited from business owners, operators, stake holders and community members with relevant skills, experience and knowledge. The Director’s role is to help oversee the development project ideas, support the Management team to drive investment and engagement whilst ensuring value is delivered to levy payers
We are also looking for a full time CEO with experience in place management, who has the skill set to drive the BID, and Southport, forward with vision and strategic thinking.

Become a Board Director
Hours: Maximum of 10 hours per month
Responsible for: Overseeing delivery of BID activity and strategy
Board directors will work alongside each other as equal members of the Board. They share responsibility with the other directors for the decisions made by the Board and for the success of the organisation. Board directors are appointed by the Members with input from the Chairman and other members of the Board. They are accountable and report to the BID Chair.
